Nike Adds Flyknit Construction to Its Lunar Force 1 Workboot
The Air Force 1 Workboot gets yet another tech upgrade.
Just last year, Nike’s boot-inspired high-top Air Force 1 got a bit of an overhaul with the addition of a comfy and lightweight Lunarlon sole unit. So what does the Swoosh have in store for the kicks this time around? Answer: Flyknit construction.
Shedding even more weight thanks to the use of a predominately Flyknit upper, the design — which is debuting in an appropriate “Golden Beige” colorway — essentially fuses a mid-top Air Force 1 with the upper of the Lunar Flyknit Chukka. Best of all, nubuck overlays are employed throughout for added durability while the kicks sport details like Dynamic Flywire support, the Air Force 1 Mid’s usual strap and both tongue and heel pull tabs. Finally, a heavy duty gum rubber outsole provides superior traction for the elements of the season.
