This Animated Video Portrays the Notorious NLCS Post-Game Celebration of the '86 Mets
Sex, drugs and baseball.
Victory Journal once again recruited Brooklyn-based artist James Bagden to direct, illustrate and animate a new video that centers upon the unruly post-game celebration of the 1986 New York Mets. After nabbing the National League pennant in a nerve-wracking 15-inning game against the Houston Astros, the Mets hopped on a DC-10 Ozark Airlines plane headed for New York and needless to say, havoc was wreaked. Veterans and rookies alike popped champagne, snorted cocaine, engaged in a wild meat fight and even players’ wives were getting in on the debauchery. The nine-minute video also features voiceovers from the ‘86 Amazins themselves, including Lenny Dykstra, Dwight Gooden, Kevin Mitchell and Darryl Strawberry.
