Earlier, Music Ally reported that Facebook has considered entering into the music streaming business by starting its own platform. According to their sources, Facebook was allegedly participating in talks with different labels and testing ad-supported videos with various media partners. The social media giant was predicted to launch an audio-streaming service to compete with Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, the upcoming Groove Music and others. However, assumptions were disproven after a spokesperson for Facebook revealed to The Verge that they “have no plans to go into music streaming.” Will it be something they consider for the future? Only time will tell.
