If you haven’t already followed his music, Danny Seth is a rising rap artist from the United Kingdom, and he is one of the biggest musical exports from the country. In his beginnings as an artist, he dabbled with electronic music, but later decided that he had wanted to stick with being a hip-hop artist, to make “American music” (as he perceived it to be from overseas) for an American audience. This week Seth shares with us his Essentials, featuring a wide assortment of musical and lifestyle items which are crucial to his career, and curated by the one and only Virgil Abloh. From the items we see that he holds dear to the advice and gifts given from his close friends or family members: boots that feature customized illustrations by his brother, a MadeByUs hoodie and Point and Shoot hat made by his good friends, a Rolex watch model that his father also once owned, and a Mojave microphone that a friend had introduced to him that he now swears by. We also respect him for not being too shy to admit his occasional usage of a synonym and antonym book to aid him in his writing.
