SHOWstudio's Christmas Auction Features Embroidery Artist James Merry
Featuring donations from the personal wardrobes of Kate Moss, Björk, Nick Knight, Kim Jones and Astrid Andersen.

Embroidery artist James Merry made quite a splash this year with his customized garments, reworking vintage sportswear pieces with dainty garden-based embellishments. Hot after the launch of its limited edition capsule collection at Opening Ceremony earlier this month, Merry has announced a forthcoming charity auction hosted in tandem with Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio. With donations from the likes of Kate Moss, Björk, Kim Jones, Astrid Andersen and Nick Knight himself, the artist is set to have a diverse range of canvases to work on. From Kim’s Louis Vuitton x Christopher Nemeth sweatshirt to Nick’s custom Levi’s jeans, a premium selection of auction items will go to conservation efforts for the Icelandic Central Highland region as a national park. To reflect the campaign’s mission, Merry will create embroidery on the garments to portray plants from the park. The James Merry x SHOWstudio charity auction will commence on Christmas Day. You can get more information here and can view more of Merry’s work above. If you’re interested in placing a bid, you can send your name, address and contact details to bid@showstudio.com.
