A Closer Look at the Nike Kobe 11 "Achilles Heel"
A deadly black and red colorway for the inaugural model.

Revealed earlier this month, Kobe Bryant‘s latest signature shoe debuts with an “Achilles Heel” colorway. Designed by Nike footwear designer Eric Avar, the model’s bold red and black Flyknit upper is contrasted with metallic gold accents on the tongue logo. The shoe does not compromise comfort with the incorporation of Lunarlon and Zoom Air cushioning within the sneaker’s translucent black sole. This particular edition’s name and four lines on the left heel counter both signify Kobe’s Achilles injury during the end of the 2013 season.
The Nike Kobe 11 “Achilles Heel” with the University Red/Metallic Gold-Black colorway hits Nike retailers worldwide including KixSquare on January 9 for a price of $200 USD.
