Nike & Ashton Eaton Unveil a Limited Edition Lunar Caldra
Celebrating the decathlete’s world record in Beijing.

Back in August, decathlete Ashton Eaton broke his own world record at the IAAF World Championships in Beijing, tallying 9,045 points while wearing a new Nike cross-trainer: the Lunar Caldra. Now, as a nod to the accomplishment and Eaton’s victorious year, Nike is releasing a special gold version of the silhouette. Nike’s most dynamic training shoe yet, the design was created with input from Eaton himself and is highlighted by a sole unit that combines the plush comfort of Lunarlon with the flexibility of Nike’s own Free tech. “This is the one shoe you can toss in your bag whether you’re going out for a five-mile run, lifting heavy weight, doing drills or getting after some high-intensity training. This shoe can do it all,” says Nike Footwear Product Director Drew Conant.
