Thanks to $4.5 million USD in new funding, French startup GIROPTIC is set to take on the likes of GoPro and Luna with its upcoming 360cam. Originally launched as a Kickstarter project, the upcoming 360cam promises immersive stills, time-lapse videos, and real-time videos while Wi-Fi video streaming will allow users to even set it up as a home security monitor. Fully waterproof, the design is due out soon and can already be pre-ordered online now for $499 USD.
