International online boutique shopping platform Farfetch recently held the award ceremony for its third annual Superstore award which scours the globe for the best boutique as chosen by public vote. This year’s winner was Tokyo boutique RESTIR, which won the title from five other finalists which included the likes of Mexico City’s Common People, and Merchants on Long in Cape Town. Held at the boutique’s location in Tokyo’s upscale Roppongi district, the ceremony saw attendees such as menswear style icon Nick Wooster and model Hana Imai, with music provided by DJ Mademoiselle Yulia. Farfetch founder and CEO José Neves and Business Development Director Akihiro Wajima took to the stage to present the award to RESTIR’s Creative Director Maiko Shibata, marking RESTIR as the first Asian boutique to join the 300 boutique-strong Farfetch network coinciding with the August launch of Farfetch’s Japanese website. RESTIR joins previous award winners Voo Store in Berlin and Le Mill in Mumbai. The full selection of offerings from RESTIR along with many other international boutiques can now be found at Farfetch.
