Eminem Continues 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)' Rollout with "Tobey"
The track features BabyTron and Big Sean.
After locking in The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)‘s July 12 release date, Eminem has dropped off the second single from the album. Dubbed “Tobey,” the track is a group effort from Slim Shady, Big Sean and BabyTron.
“Tobey”‘s cover art, like the title, is a Spider-Man reference, the art a reference to the Spider-Man pointing meme. The 4-minute and 44-second track joins “Houdini” as the two revealed singles from the 19-track LP.
“Tobey Maguire got bit by a spider, but see, me, it was a goat / If you want space, I hope you take your helmet off soon as you get up to Venus and choke,” BabyTron spits on the chorus.
Big Sean handles the second verse, with Eminem closing it out on the third. “Tobey Maguire got bit by a spider, me? Must’ve got bit by a goat (Yeah) / I used to dream as a kid I would grow (Baa) / To be one, I hope that I inspire hope (For what?) / For you to go get what you desire most (Yeah).”
