Per usual, the Los Angeles Lakers are a key franchise to watch this NBA offseason, with many curious what LeBron James’ future with the organization looks like. While we await news from their camp regarding any potential moves, as well as decisions surrounding who will select Bronny James in this month’s Draft, James continues to prepare for his 22nd season in the league. He’s also set to release another signature shoe with Nike Basketball, the Nike LeBron 22, which King James has just revealed via his Instagram account.

Last year, James didn’t publicly appear in the LeBron 21 until late July, with the sneaker officially revealed, and subsequently released, in September. This time around, he’s already flexed the new pair via a single image that he captioned “Wear test! XX2 on thee way! 👑” Equipped in an all-black finish that wear test samples typically favor, a view from the front of the shoe reveals a build similar to its most recent predecessor — with it likely sporting a similar low-top construction and a textured exterior.

At the time of writing, neither LeBron James nor Nike have confirmed any details regarding the new silhouette’s release date and its technical specifications. Stay tuned for updates as additional looks are expected to arrive throughout the summertime before it likely touches down on shelves this September via Nike SNKRS and select retailers around the $200 USD price point.
