LUCKI Taps Into His Two-Sided Persona on 'GEMINI!'

Chicago rap’s favorite Gemini has unleashed his latest studio record. Notorious for their double-sided personas, Geminis often get a bad rep for their two-sided candor, but after toying with his star sign’s persona on January’s 2 Faced EP, LUCKI is now fully embracing his artistic duality in the appropriately entitled GEMINI!

LUCKI introduced the album’s themes with the two-part trailer – “2 FacedSlatt :) / 2 FacedSlatt :( “ – and reaffirmed it when he unveiled the cover art, which showcases a grid of faceless famous Geminis.

Spanning 20 tracks, GEMINI! is infused with LUCKI’s signature hazy, hypnotic flow and arrives just less than a year after s*x m*ney dr*gs, which reaffirmed the underground rapper’s spot in the mainstream rap space. The lengthy offering – which only clocks in at 50 minutes – features singles “All Love,” “Heavy On My Heart” and “Courtesy Of” and is propelled forward by contributions from Lil Yachty, Future, Veeze, Rylo Rodriguez and 42 Dugg.

Landing peak-Gemini season, the rapper’s expansive effort finds him continuing to align and evolve, also arriving about a month before he heads out on his first-ever headlining tour in support of the project.
