Viral Footwear Brand BBiMP Goes Full ‘Looney Tunes’ With its “Bugs Bunny Shoes.”

“What’s up, Doc?”

Footwear brand BBiMP is known for its unconventional designs, and now it’s released its most, well, looney shoes yet: a style inspired by Bugs Bunny. Fans of the Looney Tunes character can now sport these cartoonish sneakers that combine classic Jack Purcell style with Bugs’ super-sized stompers.

The “Bugs Bunny Shoes” feature an oversized toe cap that resembles Bugs’ three toes. However, the rest of the sneaker is simple with black leather and white laces and stitching. Logomania isn’t seen here, as no on-the-nose references are made to the character or the brand with only a logo inside a band-aid placed on the back of the shoe plus a skeletal detail on the outsole.

This isn’t the first time Bugs Bunny has graced a sneaker, as the character was used on the Nike LeBron 18 Low in 2021 and Converse sneakers in 2020. Looking further back, Bugs has long played a part in the Air Jordan line as well: he appeared in the famed “Air Jordan vs. Hare Jordan” commercial in 1992, and was indirectly referenced on models like the Air Jordan 7 “Hare” and Air Jordan 8 “Bugs Bunny.”

BBiMP, for its part, has made a name for itself in the past couple of years with outrageous, attention-grabbing releases, ranging from a sneaker disguised as a burger to one with a digital pet embedded and one with a full-scale Chucky head attached.

The BBiMP “Bugs Bunny Shoes” will cost $110 USD and are set to drop today, June 14 at 5 PM ET through Old Order’s website.
