Looney Tunes and Converse Celebrate Bugs Bunny's 80th Anniversary with Special Collection
Chuck 70s, Chuck Taylors, Pro Leathers and apparel — all inspired by the rascally rabbit’s 80 years of mischief.

It’s been 80 years since Looney Tunes first brought Bugs Bunny to the television screen, so the beloved cartoon franchise is teaming with Converse for a special collection of shoes and apparel in honor of the rascally rabbit’s milestone anniversary. Consisting of three takes on the Chuck Taylor All Star, a Chuck 70 Hi and a Pro Leather plus special apparel, the offerings celebrate eight decades of hijinks with colorful prints, special materials and much more.
Arriving in one low top and two high top makeups, the Chuck Taylor All-Star uses various graphic prints to celebrate Bugs. A black colorway is the most lively of the bunch, showing Bugs bursting through the lateral side and chewing a carrot — much as he often does during the Looney Tunes credits — while the medial side features him chopping up a classic Converse badge with scissors, Barber of Seville-style. The red pair boasts embroidered details on both sides, namely Bugs’ grinning visage on the medial half and a Converse badge on the lateral half. Lastly, a white low-cut shows Bugs’ evolution through the years, with multiple iterations of the character walking from heel to midfoot. All three styles supply a commemorative 80th anniversary tongue tag.
On the other end of the spectrum high-cut Chuck 70s and Pro Leathers take a more literal approach, relying on build more than graphics to convey their inspiration. The former’s upper is made of soft gray and light cream fur, then adorned with a small Bugs graphic on the lateral heel plus a multi-color circular print on the medial badge for a nod to the Looney Tunes title sequence. “What’s Up, Doc?” is also printed inside the tongue. Pro Leathers mix gray and tan suede, replace the standard gold midfoot badge’s text with its own “What’s Up, Doc?” hit, add a debossed heel detail, place Bugs’s beloved carrot on the rear of the lateral side.
There’s also a full collection of apparel to be had: short-sleeve tees in white and black, a black long-sleeve tee and a gray hoodie with a white hood. All pieces reinterpret the footwear collection’s motifs in light-hearted fashion to provide a matching look.
The Looney Tunes x Converse 80th Anniversary collection will release on the Converse webstore come October 27. Select styles will be available in both adults’ and kids sizes, and retail prices range from $35-$100 USD.
