Description

Mark McNairy is an American designer and founder of his own collection known as Mark McNairy New Amsterdam. McNairy began his foray into the fashion industry in 2005 when he was hired to update the classic American brand, J. Press. He introduced an updated collection of sportswear and tailored clothing to the line, which he helmed until 2010. In 2008, he debuted what would become a popular footwear collection under the name of Mark McNairy for New Amsterdam, which consisted of men’s shoes inspired by a modern edge, and fused American and English traditions with a focus on craftsmanship. In 2010, McNairy entered the apparel world with a menswear line. In addition to his eponymous label, McNairy has designed and collaborated with heritage label Bass, and is currently also the creative director of Woolrich Woolen Mills.
