Nike and Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are preparing the upcoming Nike SHAI 002. Following a recent interview with TIME, Gilgeous-Alexander confirmed that he personally hand-drew the design for his second signature silhouette.
Maintaining a direct creative role in his footwear line, Gilgeous-Alexander previously crafted early sketches for the SHAI 001 before taking the exact same approach for his follow-up model. When asked what fans should expect from the upcoming SHAI 002, Gilgeous-Alexander stated in the interview, “Sick design. Because I drew it. That’s all I can give you.”
The SHAI 002 marks his first brand-new signature model constructed under the main Nike Basketball banner following his official transition from Converse in June 2026. While his debut silhouette originally launched under Converse before receiving Nike branding at Oklahoma City’s Media Day, his second model continues the athlete’s personal involvement from its inception.
