From “Air Force 1 World Tour,” the multifaceted collaboration project by NIGO® and Nike, comes the announcement of the latest Air Force 1 sneaker, welcoming global superstar BTS’ j-hope as a joint partner.

The partnership between NIGO® and j-hope began from a place of mutual respect and design sensibility. This new release reinterprets the refined vintage look of the Air Force 1, originally released in 2001, and incorporates elements of j-hope’s signature energetic style, “Hobicore.”

A glossy burnt sunrise (orange tone) and metallic gold patent leather upper is accented with vibrant chlorine blue. Furthermore, it features a squirrel graphic, which is j-hope’s icon, and as he himself says, “the intricate details of the shoelaces make the sneakers even more appealing,” condensing the meticulous attention to detail of both parties down to the shoe accessories and material usage.

NIGO® commented, “j-hope is one of the few people who has become a true ambassador for culture and can pass it on to the next generation.” This pair represents the intersection of the legacy of 1990s Tokyo street culture and the brilliance of the modern global pop scene.

The NIGO® x j-hope x Nike Air Force 1 will be available for an exclusive pre-sale on the HUMAN MADE official website starting Saturday, October 17th, followed by a wider release on SNKRS and select global retailers on Thursday, October 22nd.
