Eckhaus Latta‘ playful gender-refuting designs hit the runway during New York Fashion Week as part of the label’s Fall/Winter 2020 showcase. A partnership with The Realreal yielded a host of secondhand shoes for the models, simultaneously underscoring Eckhaus Latta’s conscious design ethos, inspiring a series of garments intended to be worn for the long haul.
A host of progressive, disparate items appeared during the presentation, ranging from metallic parks to color-blocked knitwear to louche tailoring; the intentional lack of cohesion underscores Eckhaus Latta’s wide-ranging inspirations and the label’s equally diverse fan base. Stripes, paint splatters and all-over denim patterns complement more organic garments, including acid-washed denim layers and a raw-hemmed trench coat.
