DC Shoes is paying homage to Philadelphia’s fabled Love Park with a two-shoe box set consisting of Josh Kalis‘s Kalis OG and Stevie Williams‘s Stevie 1. One of the most legendary locales in the annals of East Coast skateboarding history, Love Park was also the home base of Kalis and Williams in 2000 — the same year that the Kalis OG and Stevie 1 originally released.

Nodding to the two skaters’ shared history on Love’s famous four block, each shoe is dressed in white with red and grey accents. The Kalis OG offers a more blocky look, with a square toebox, cut-out overlays and a visible air bag in the heel. Meanwhile, the Stevie 1 presents a basketball-inspired style with swooping stitched detailing, an athletic cut and a bold midsole design. With this speedy shape and recognizable white/red color scheme, it’s almost reminiscent of shoes made in the early aughts for another Philly favorite: Allen Iverson.

Rounding things off is a stacked pull-out box with gold detailing that encases both shoes. Robert Indiana‘s red LOVE sculpture — from which the park draws its nom de guerre — is present on the top, providing a final stamp of inspiration.

The DC Shoes “Love Park” box set is limited to a scant 60 pairs in the US, and is available now at retailers like Premier for $250 USD.

Elsewhere in the world of skate shoes, adidas Skateboarding recently premiered a video part for new team rider Shin Sanbongi.
