Nike is making a compelling case for the Mind 001 to be the slip-on of the year. While distinct with its strong geometry and curiosity prompting nodes, its rollout was rooted in innovation. Bundled within the announcement of the NIKE, Inc. Sport Offense platform, the concept of neuroscience-based footwear was intriguing, a feeling that spread throughout the masses. Having worn the model myself, there has never been another piece of footwear I’ve worn that prompted as many questions from onlookers as this.
With demand in place, the Swoosh has been handling the supply side by continuing to churn out colorways. One of the latest Mind 001 looks to surface is this “Blackened Blue” version. A blue outsole shifts to black as it makes its way up the mule, combining with metallic Swooshes for a sleek finish. Underfoot, the 22 independent nodes favor all-white, resulting in a color scheme that feels fragment design-esque.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet confirmed when this “Blackened Blue” version of the Mind 001 mule will be dropping.
