Summary

  • The ninth installment of the collaborative series features seven items including sweatshirts, tees, and bottoms
  • New for this season is a reversible design that offers distinct solid and paneled expressions on each side
  • The collection releases on March 6 at Champion and N.HOOLYWOOD retail locations

N.HOOLYWOOD and Champion have reunited for the ninth iteration of their ongoing “NEW WEAVE” capsule, continuing their experimental reconstruction of American athletic wear. Helmed by designer Daisuke Obana, an avid collector of vintage Champion pieces, the project reinterprets the brand’s iconic “Reverse Weave® manufacturing method through a modern, technical lens. This latest release evolves the series’ signature 3D cutting techniques by integrating a reversible specification that allows for two distinct visual identities within a single garment.

The collection is anchored by its unique structural approach, where items are designed to be worn inside out to reveal a different aesthetic. One side presents a clean, solid look, while the reverse features a “switched” design with visible seam details that highlight the complex pattern work. The lineup includes a Crew Neck Sweatshirt, a Zip Sweatshirt that functions like a cardigan, and a Hooded Sleeveless Sweatshirt layered with generous armholes.

Rounding out the apparel are Long and Short Sleeve T-Shirts, Long Pants, and Shorts. Each piece is constructed from a combination of N.HOOLYWOOD’s original brushed fleece and Champion’s classic 100% cotton jersey. Design staples like the “Expansion Gusset” remain to ensure range of motion, while a garment dye finish provides a vintage-like texture. The collection is finished with a special tag combining both brand logos, signifying the partnership’s enduring legacy.

The N.HOOLYWOOD x Champion “NEW WEAVE” collection releases March 6, via the Champion official online store, Champion Harajuku, Champion Brand House Shinsaibashi Osaka, and N.HOOLYWOOD direct store.
