N.HOOLYWOOD COMPILE and KEEN have built their first collaboration on the UNEEK 360, the newest model in KEEN’s open-air UNEEK series. The dress-leaning N.HOOLYWOOD line reconstructs the sneaker on its own terms, keeping the model’s stripped-back engineering front and center while pulling it toward a more refined finish.
The starting point is the UNEEK concept of a shoe made from little more than cords and a sole. For this version, KEEN adopts a build that uses no adhesive, reconstructing the silhouette around that minimal-waste logic. Recycled-plastic bungee cord and a lace toggle lock the foot in place quickly, while the upper is shaped to leave room for the toes to splay, aiming for a fit that works across a wide range of feet.
The rest of the spec leans hard into comfort and durability. Arch support molded to the shape of the foot reinforces the midfoot, an injection-foam midsole keeps the shoe light underfoot, and a foam insole with built-in arch support is tuned for long stretches of cushioning. A high-traction foam outsole handles grip and wear, and the whole thing weighs in at 322g. Sustainability runs through the material choices too, with recycled PET-blended plastic reducing the use of virgin material and a natural-origin Eco Anti-odor treatment addressing smell.
Where N.HOOLYWOOD COMPILE leaves its mark is in the edit. The line works from the idea of translating formal and dress-wear codes into contemporary easy wear, and here that reads as restraint: a single gray tone carried from upper to sole, broken only by the N.HOOLYWOOD logo printed quietly on the heel. Officially named Steel Gray, the palette lets the UNEEK 360’s minimal structure do the talking and positions the shoe as one meant to cross between city streets and the outdoors rather than commit to either.
