Mortal Kombat is ready to return to the theaters. The beloved fighting game franchise returned to the big screen as a live-action reboot in 2021. Now, it’s sequel, Mortal Kombat II, is ready for battle. Originally scheduled to debut in 2025, we’re now just months away from the delayed premiere.

Building anticipation for the film, Warner Bros. has just shared the second official trailer for Mortal Kombat II, titled “Official Trailer II.” Champions are again fighting things out, with Karl Urban joining the mix as Johnny Cage. Again, director Simon McQuoid leads the way for this adaptation of the video game series, offering a live-action rendition of the dynamic brawls.

For those looking to catch the action on the big screen, Mortal Kombat II is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on May 6 internationally. Just two days later, North America will be treated to its screenings of the R-rated film.
