40 years, 40 shoes. Jordan Brand has continued to expand its empire throughout the past four decades and has just presented its latest entry, the Air Jordan 40. This new chapter of the Air Jordan lineage offers a modern build centered around the number 40, which is nodded to via the 40-degree angles utilized throughout.
Each Air Jordan 40 colorway revealed so far has featured a unique upper, with this version of the shoe looking back to the original Air Jordan 1 for inspiration. The minimalist upper hosts a Swoosh at the lateral, combining with Wings branding at the medial collar and a stitched Nike Air tag at the tongue. Its “Chicago” color scheme blends red, white, and black with off-white at the midsole. From there, an “AIR JORDAN” callout can be spotted at the heel.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet indicated when this Air Jordan 1-themed take on the Air Jordan 40 will be dropping.
