Nike Adds Cordura Fabric to the Air Max Sunder

The Nike Air Max Sunder turned 25 last year and the Swoosh rolled out the red carpet for its return. A wide variety of colorways have been presented since, with Nike offering reworks ranging from GORE-TEX to a new ventilated upper. Adding to the list of remixes, a pair sporting a Cordura-backed upper has just been unveiled.
Our first look at the Nike Air Max Sunder “Cordura” sees it begin with a blue mudguard that places light blue dots atop a navy base. This inclusion of dark blue matches the midsole and heel overlay, the latter of which nods to the Alpha Project program that began in 1999 and introduced models like the Air Max Sunder. One of Cordura’s durable re/cor fabrics, which utilize recycled materials, hits the uppermost layer in a sky blue, hosting an abstract spray pattern. From there, orange detailing and a black outsole complete the new look.
At the time of writing, Nike has not yet indicated when this Cordura-equipped version of the Air Max Sunder will be making its debut. Stay tuned for updates, including official images of the kicks, as we currently anticipate it to drop this holiday season via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, likely at a higher price point than its typical $180 USD.
