Oakley is continuing to propel its futuristic vision with its latest innovative eyewear offering. Plucked from the archives, the brand is revisiting its iconic Oakley Plantaris frames and reimagining them through a 2075 lens to create the “Plantaris Ti” – a fusion of past, present, and future that exemplifies Oakley’s overarching mentality of blending tradition with innovation.
For the future-facing reworking of the Plantaris, adaptability and functionality command the fluid design approach. The frames come equipped with adjustable temples and a statement removable nose cone.
Clear silicone tips close out the temple design, which, per a press release, draws inspiration from frog legs, in that it offers a look into the glasses’ veiny internal structure. Titanium frames take a lightweight feel, finished off with Prizm™ Lens Technology.
Take a closer look at Oakley’s new Plantaris sunglasses in the lookbook included above, and expect the frames to land for purchase at the brand’s official website on July 31.
