New Balance has been on a dominant run for the past decade, making waves in the sneaker scene. This come up for the American sportswear brand is, in part, due to the success of its “Protection Pack” series. Starting with the 2002R in 2021, this deconstructed approach to design resulted in a wide variety of 2002R colorways releasing, as well as for other models like the 1906R.

Now, New Balance Europe has revealed that the original three 2002R “Protection Pack” looks are dropping again. Pictured first is the “Rain Cloud/Magnet” pair, which sees various grays highlight its layered build before finishing with an aged outsole. A similar approach is used with the “Sea Salt/NB White” and “Phantom/Magnet” colorways, offering white and dark gray finishes respectively.

While New Balance has not announced its stateside release plans for the return of the 2002R “Protection Pack,” its European website lists the shoes as arriving on June 4 at a price of €180 EUR (approx. $201 USD). Look out for it to drop globally on this date, likely at a price of $180 USD in the US.
