Nike pays tribute to one of Japan’s most iconic baseball teams, the Yomiuri Giants, with a special edition Air Max 90 release. Often compared to the New York Yankees for their championship dominance and global recognition, the Giants are the most prestigious team in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).

The Air Max 90 “Tokyo” reflects this legacy with the team’s signature colors, highlighted by a bold orange Swoosh and a metallic Air Max badge for striking contrast. Baseball-inspired stitching on the heel adds a subtle nod to the sport, while a stylized “TYO” replaces the traditional Nike branding on the tongue and heel, mirroring the lettering on the Giants’ away jerseys. A mix of premium nubuck and leather elevates the sneaker’s overall aesthetic, while the rugged waffle outsole and “Bright Ceramic” midsole accent complete the design.
