Returning to Watches & Wonders for its 2025 edition, A. Lange & Söhne captivates attendees with an extraordinary showcase of its technical and aesthetic mastery, presenting three iconic timepieces that exemplify the brand’s tradition of blending innovation with timeless elegance. Highlights include the Minute Repeater Perpetual, an exceptional synthesis of a chiming mechanism and perpetual calendar housed in a limited-edition platinum case; the Odysseus Honey Gold with a mocha mousse-esque brown dial alongside two new 1815 references.

1815

Designed as a tribute to the visionary Glashütte watchmaker Ferdinand Adolph Lange, whose birth year inspires its name, the 1815 is available in two case builds: pink gold and white gold. With elegant proportions of 34 mm in diameter, the timepiece meets the desires of watch enthusiasts seeking a discreet yet sophisticated three-hand watch. Its timeless design and exceptional comfort make it an ideal companion for daily business wear.

At the heart of the 1815 lies the newly developed L152.1 Manufacture caliber, featuring traditional aesthetics and intricate decorations viewable through its exhibition caseback. Highlights include a hand-engraved balance cock, the iconic three-quarter plate with Glashütte ribbing and thermally blued screws paired with gold chatons for vibrant accents. This manually wound movement, the 75th caliber since the company’s re-establishment, incorporates an innovative oscillation system with an in-house crafted balance spring and large screw balance, ensuring remarkable precision and a 72-hour power reserve.

Minute Repeater Perpetual

The Minute Repeater Perpetual by A. Lange & Söhne combines two highly complex complications – a minute repeater and a perpetual calendar – showcasing the brand’s technical mastery and exceptional craftsmanship. The minute repeater mechanism features two finely tuned gongs that chime the hours, quarter hours, and minutes with exceptional clarity, enhanced by advanced features such as a patented hammer blocker and pause elimination device. This 194-part system, visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback, harmonizes precision engineering with platinum’s acoustic properties to deliver a melodious and refined sound.

Complementing the chiming mechanism is the perpetual calendar, which ensures accurate displays of date, day, month and leap years, needing correction only once every century. Adorned with 750 gold moons and surrounded by hand-engraved stars, the moonphase display replicates the lunar cycle with remarkable precision and requires adjustment only once every 122.6 years. The timepiece’s four-part enamel dial in white gold, framed by elegant circular borders, provides exceptional legibility while showcasing its artisanal craftsmanship. With a 40.5 mm platinum case and limited to only 50 pieces, this masterful creation embodies the brand’s tradition of blending technical innovation with timeless design.

Odysseus Honey Gold

The Odysseus, first introduced in 2019 as A. Lange & Söhne’s inaugural luxury sportswatch, has undergone several iterations in steel, white gold and titanium. For the first time, the model is now presented in the brand’s exclusive HONEYGOLD® alloy, paired with a mocha mousse-like brown dial that complements the case’s warm tone and exceptional durability. Featuring large displays for the date and day of the week, alongside luminous lancet-shaped hands and hour markers, the 40.5 mm watch ensures excellent readability. Its design combines brushed surfaces, chamfered edges and a slender bezel to achieve a refined balance of sporty and elegant aesthetics, further enhanced by a seamless integration of the five-row honey-gold bracelet.

At the core of the Odysseus lies the L155.1 Datomic Manufacture caliber, a robust self-winding movement that blends precision with reliability. This innovative mechanism, visible through the open caseback, includes a skeletonized rotor equipped with a platinum centrifugal mass, untreated German silver plates and blued screws. Operating at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour, the calibre delivers both energy efficiency and remarkable accuracy.
