Duckwrth's 'All American F*ckBoy' Embraces the "Good, Bad, and Messy"
With narration by LaKeith Stanfield, the genre-blurring LP leaves little to the imagination, marking what the artist calls his “most honest reflection” of himself.
Genre-bending storyteller Duckwrth has lifted the veil on his newest studio LP. Entitled All American F*ckBoy, the musician’s third album puts his ability to blur the norm on full display, arriving as a masterful, movie-like story that spans mediums, genres and many of Duckwrth’s raw emotions.
“This album is the rawest, most honest reflection of who I was, and who I am,” he explained in a statement. “It’s the good, the bad, and all the messy stuff in between.”
The 21-track project is strung together with narration from LaKeith Stanfield, Tia Nomore, and Lou Loubell and sees additional features from Tanerélle, Tommy Newport, IDK, and Sherwyn.
“With every track, I wanted to challenge myself and say the things I’ve been too scared to admit before. All American F⭐️ckBoy isn’t just music—it’s my story, my therapy, and hopefully a piece of me that connects with you.”
Duckwrth takes listeners on a journey, one that is more introspective and expansive than past projects, focusing on themes of love, ego, and self-destruction, to deliver a sporadic yet sensical lineup of songs and interludes.
