Oracle Red Bull Racing Unveils Honda Tribute Livery for Japan GP
Inspired by Honda’s RA272 — the car that secured the marque’s first F1 victory in 1965.
Oracle Red Bull Racing is set to celebrate its storied partnership with Honda at the 2025 Formula 1 Japan Grand Prix with a striking white and red tribute livery. Inspired by Honda’s RA272 — the car that secured the marque’s first F1 victory in 1965 — the special design will feature on both RB21s at Suzuka.
The livery commemorates 60 years since American driver Richie Ginther claimed Honda’s inaugural win at the Mexico GP and includes a Japanese flag motif, a prominent “H” logo on the nose and classic Honda branding on the rear. A bespoke 60th-anniversary logo will also appear across all four Red Bull cars on the grid.
Christian Horner, Oracle Red Bull Racing CEO and Team Principal, said the tribute marks “the final year of a thoroughly enjoyable partnership,” which delivered four Drivers’ titles and two Constructors’ Championships with Honda power.
Koji Watanabe, President of Honda Racing Corporation, called the livery “quite moving,” adding that Honda and Red Bull’s legacy will “continue to shine in the history of F1.”
This marks the second time Red Bull has raced in white for Honda, following the fan-favorite 2021 Turkey GP livery. The Japan GP weekend will also feature a Tokyo takeover and a historic Showrun as part of Red Bull’s full-scale celebration.
