Toyota Celebrates Formula Drift Long Beach with Three New GR Models

Including the GR86 Yuzu Edition, GR Supra MkV Final Edition and new GR Corolla development vehicle.

Just ahead of the 2025 Formula Drift season opener, Toyota has revealed three additions to its GAZOO Racing (GR) lineup: the GR86 Yuzu Edition, the GR Supra MkV Final Edition, and a camouflaged GR Corolla “Development Vehicle.”

Leading the trio is the vibrant GR86 Yuzu Edition, a limited-run model that pays tribute to the Japanese citrus fruit with a zesty yellow finish. Based on the GR86 Premium grade, this edition pairs matte black 18-inch wheels with black Ultrasuede-trimmed seats featuring yellow accents throughout the cabin. Performance gets a serious boost too — standard Brembo brakes and SACHS dampers elevate handling while preserving the model’s famously playful character. Limited to just 860 units for the North American market, the Yuzu Edition also offers options like a GR-branded cat-back exhaust and an aero body kit. Under the hood, it carries the 2.4L boxer engine producing 228 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, available with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

GR Supra MkV Final Edition (North America)

Next, Toyota celebrates the legacy of its flagship sports car with the GR Supra MkV Final Edition (North American variant). Marking the end of the fifth-generation Supra’s production run in Spring 2026, this special model features a refined suspension setup, larger Brembo brakes, enhanced body rigidity and sharper aerodynamics thanks to a carbon fiber ducktail spoiler and front wheel arch flaps. Powered by a 3L turbocharged inline-six delivering 382 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque, it offers 0-60 mph times of 3.9 seconds. A GT4-style pack inspired by Toyota’s motorsports success will be available in Fall 2025, complete with matte paint options and race-inspired details. Both manual and automatic transmissions are offered, alongside performance tech like Adaptive Variable Suspension and Intelligent Manual Transmission programming.

GR Corolla “Development Vehicle”

Rounding out the trio is the GR Corolla “Development Vehicle,” still cloaked in camouflage but already turning heads. Visible upgrades include new fender and hood vents, an adjustable rear spoiler and hints of aerodynamic and torque enhancements. While Toyota is keeping full specs under wraps, the vehicle is undergoing final tuning and will be revealed this fall — pending approval from Akio Toyoda himself.
