Update: fragment design, Union LA, and Jordan Brand are poised to dominate headlines for nearly an entire year as we continue to prepare for the trio’s Air Jordan 1 High OGs to drop. We’re back this week with a closer look at what to expect from the “Black/White” pair. While the iconic fragment thunderbolt returns to the lateral heel and Union’s Frankenstein’d collar is present, there’s plenty more collaborative detailing to note. Black text nodding to the project is present at not only the lateral midsole, but beneath the medial Swoosh as well. From there, a co-branded sockliner detailing its special elements rounds out the design. Look out for it to drop next spring at a starting price of $200 USD alongside the other two colorways and take a complete look at the sneaker via the gallery embedded below.

Update: A forthcoming fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 project has kept sneakerheads waiting for next year as teasers have continued to trickle out. Hiroshi Fujiwara was spotted wearing a “Black/White” pair back in April and now another early look at the design has surfaced. An in-hand preview of the pair sees the shoe updated with a white fragment design logo at the lateral heel, replacing what looked to be a tonal version in black. We remain without any confirmation of its release details, however, the colorway is currently expected to drop next spring via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $200 USD so stay tuned for updates.

Original Story: This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1. While Jordan Brand is not holding back with its celebration of the model, releasing a mix of beloved classics and exciting new looks throughout the year, one upcoming collaboration has brought attention to 2026.
What sounded like a far-fetched rumor last year became reality as a fragment design x Union LA x Air Jordan 1 surfaced this year in a familiar black, white, and blue. Now, a second pair from the new trio has surfaced courtesy of Hiroshi Fujiwara, who was spotted in a “Black/White” version of the sneaker. Our limited first glance at the pair sees it feature black and white color blocking, midsole text at the lateral, collar stitching à la Union LA’s previous AJ1s, and fragment design’s thunderbolt logo stamped at the lateral heel.
At the time of writing, neither Hiroshi Fujiwara, Union LA, nor Jordan Brand have discussed their forthcoming Air Jordan 1 campaign.
