Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just completed another incredible season, securing the Oklahoma City Thunder the NBA’s best record with a 68-14 finish. The superstar remains the likely winner of this year’s MVP award with one of the most impressive seasons for a guard to date.

SGA stepped onto the court this past weekend for game one of the NBA Playoffs, taking on Ja Morant and Memphis Grizzlies, which concluded in a 51-point victory for the Thunder. While SGA’s performance was nothing special, his kicks were. At last, he showed off a second colorway of his upcoming signature shoe, the Converse SHAI 001. Dubbed the “Ares Gray” look — a tribute to his son Ares who was born just under a year ago — it sees the slick model’s puffed upper and versatile shroud system covered in a smooth gray.

At the time of writing, Converse Hoops has not shared any release details regarding this new “Ares Gray” colorway of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Converse SHAI 001. Stay tuned for updates, including a complete set of imagery highlighting the shoe, as we currently expect the model to debut this fall via Converse and select retailers at a starting price of $130 USD.
