Paris Texas Surprises with Another Six-Song EP
‘They Left Me With A Gun’ follows up last week’s ‘They Left Me With The Sword.’

After unveiling surprise EP They Left Me With The Sword on February 21, Paris Texas has provided more mood music to get us through March. The California-based rap duo has delivered another unexpected EP that picks up right where last week’s project left off.
Entitled They Left Me With A Gun, the new offering from Louie Pastel and Felix is a six-track soundscape, also signalling the second chapter in the anthology initiated with They Left Me With The Sword. Both of the duo’s two surprise EPs from the past two weeks were made in the months leading up to Tyler, the Creator‘s CHROMAKOPIA world tour – which marks Paris Texas’s largest world tour to date. Frequent Paris Texas collaborators Billy Lemos and Dilip also offered their respective production expertise and insight throughout the process as well – advice the duo describes as “central” to the story coming together.
Per a press release, the pair of projects point to the start of a new era for the Los Angeles rap, describing the consecutive releases as the start of “the next phase of [Louie Pastel and Felix's] ever-expanding visions for Paris Texas.” While similar in form, the EPs are more directly strung together by the same ominous narrating voice.
