G-Shock Celebrates International Women's Day With Symbolic Timepiece
The all-purple makeup symbolizes “justice and dignity,” while a flower motif honors the tradition of gifting mimosas to women on the special occasion.
Continuing its tradition of honoring International Women’s Day on March 8, Casio G-Shock has unveiled a limited edition timepiece infused with inspiring symbolism. For the 2025, the GMA-P2125W-6A model receives a lavender-colored design and a sweet hidden detail that glows when the backlight is activated.
According to G-Shock, the purple hues represent justice and dignity across various cultures. Applied everywhere, from the band and bezel to the dial and arms, the tonal purple palette is accented by white and golden details for contrast. In honor of the tradition of gifting mimosas to women on the special day, G-Shock also incorporated a mimosa flower that appears when the LED backlight is turned on. The practice is a historic tradition originating from the Italian women’s movement in the 1940s.
