Deion Sanders won’t have the dynamic duo of Travis Hunter and his son Shedeur next year, but his University of Colorado Buffaloes football team will remain highly visible. Coach Prime’s managed to carry his success off the field in recent years, rekindling his partnership with Nike to bring back the Air DT Max ‘96 last year.
The model most recently released in its “Falcons” colorway and is now being prepared in a new “Love Letter to Connie” look that celebrates Sanders’ mother Connie for Mother’s Day. This fresh spin on the silhouette sees it equipped with a rich combination of “University Red” and “Red Crush” throughout its tall structure. Touches of pink and white are included at its various branding elements, as well as the special sockliner note, while reflective detailing is also featured across the upper.
At the time of writing, Nike has not officially announced when this “Love Letter to Connie” colorway of the Air DT Max ‘96 will be dropping. Stay tuned for updates as it is currently expected to release on May 7 — four days before Mother’s Day — via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $170 USD.
