SOMEWHERE® – a D.C.-based hybrid clothing store and café – has partnered up with ASICS to collaborate on the GT-2160 sneaker. Titled “Out of the Blue,” the limited-edition model celebrates the longstanding relationship between both brands as ASICS has been a core part of SOMEWHERE®’s offerings since its inception.
“Out of the Blue” is more than just a concept; it embodies the essence of their approach to creating and releasing meaningful projects. Dressed predominantly in a crisp white, the upper comprises a mix of synthetic fiber. ASICS’ signature striped overlays are emblazoned over the black and white mesh base in metallic silver. This is accentuated with streaks of cobalt blue, appearing over the heel counter, parts of the sole unit and on the SOMEWHERE®-branded laces. In addition to the blue laces, the shoe also comes with neon yellow laces as well as a special keychain, all packaged in custom paper and shoe box.
The sneaker is set to release on March 1 at SOMEWHERE®’s DC location, followed by a pop-up event in NYC on March 8.
