OPPO Find N5 Breaks Records as the World’s Thinnest Foldable Phone
Available starting February 28.

OPPO has unveiled the Find N5, which claims the title of the world’s thinnest foldable phone. With a folded thickness of just 8.93mm, the Find N5 sets a new standard in foldable design, eclipsing its predecessors. When opened, it measures just 4.21mm at its thinnest point, offering a sleek, paper-thin profile that redefines what users expect from foldable devices.
This ultra-thin design doesn’t compromise performance. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, boasting 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, making it a powerhouse despite its slim form. The 5,600 mAh battery is more than adequate, providing up to two full days of use on a single charge, with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
OPPO’s attention to detail extends to its display, which features an 8.12-inch OLED LTPO main screen with minimal crease visibility, making it one of the best displays for reading and browsing on a foldable. The external display measures 6.62 inches and has a peak brightness of 2,450 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in direct sunlight.
In terms of durability, the Find N5 is rated with IPX6, X8 and X9 for water resistance, though not designed to be dust-proof. OPPO has also worked to improve the hinge and reduce the display crease, making it less noticeable when swiping through content.
The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 12MP ultrawide lens, tuned by Hasselblad, offering excellent photo quality. The 8MP front camera is capable of taking great selfies, whether the phone is folded or open.
Set to launch in Europe and Asia, the Find N5 will be available in-store and online starting February 28, with prices beginning at $2,499 SGD (approx. $1,867 USD). However, there are currently no plans for a release in the U.S., as OPPO’s sister brand, OnePlus, has confirmed it will not be launching a foldable phone this year.
