BEAMS SS25 Offers a Lesson in Lightweight Layers
With baggy shorts, statement blousons, prep-infused essentials and more.
Japanese brand BEAMS has unveiled an all-new collection for its main line, introducing a lightweight range including forward-thinking silhouettes and vintage sportswear styles. The brand offers a functional and comfort-centric wardrobe for the warmer months with ultra-wide bottoms, retro blousons, checked shirting, and breathable knitwear.
For the transitional parts of the season, outerwear including a vintage brown leather jacket, a beige bomber, an olive green army jacket and a denim trucker are key focal points. Stand-out jackets include a hooded windbreaker with an iridescent reflective pattern, and a green satin varsity-style jacket.
Alongside everyday trouser styles, including pleated dress pants, green army-style pants, straight-legged blue jeans, and white cargos, BEAMS brings extra-roomy shorts into the mix, finished with vintage washes and tapered darting. The brand also offers a more directional style that translates a summertime gingham, typically reserved for shirting, onto loose-fit cargo pants.
Even in the warmer seasons, BEAMS pushes knitwear by utilizing breathable materials and nostalgic appeal. Sure to be a seasonal favorite, a brown polo cardigan is knitted from a translucent mesh and ribbed trims, while elsewhere a baby blue polo features a burn-out floral pattern in its mesh.
