sacai is marking a new chapter in its global retail strategy with the grand reopening of its Beijing flagship store at Taikoo Li Sanlitun. The expanded space, which now includes a new basement level, features the brand’s inaugural design collaboration with creative polymath Willo Perron of Perron Studios.
Perron’s design masterfully translates sacai’s signature hybrid aesthetic into the store’s physical form. The architectural concept creates a deliberate tension by recontextualizing common construction elements. The front facade, for instance, draws inspiration from the simple cinder block, scaling and rotating its basic shape to become a compelling, pleated surface that extends the exterior gesture inward. Inside, ready-made utilitarian systems—like typical glass and aluminum—are ingeniously repurposed as sleek display racks and shelving.
The reopening is accompanied by an exclusive capsule collection, featuring a signature piece that perfectly embodies the House’s hybridization: a jacket that fuses a denim silhouette with an MA-1 bomber. Select items from the Men’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection and Women’s Spring 2026 collection will also be available for an early release. Perron’s design philosophy, rooted in giving new purpose to everyday objects, ensures the store itself enhances the beauty and complexity of the clothing within.
