Kojima Productions teams with exoskeleton maker Dnsys for a real, functional tie-in. The limited-run Dnsys Z1 Exoskeleton Pro – Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition mirrors the game’s utility and aesthetic.
Co-designed by art director Yoji Shinkawa, it promises 50% extra power to steps, offloads up to 200% of body weight from the knees, and delivers over four hours of support with quick-swap batteries. The design borrows game-coded details such as battery-status lights and intelligent gait control to stabilize movement on stairs and uneven terrain.
Dnsys says wearers may feel up to 44 lbs lighter during vertical movement, with hiking range extended by miles. This aims to empower real-world mobility, not just cosplay.
