Nubeo and ‘Star Trek’ Unveil Second Watch Collaboration
Introducing the NB-6106 Magellan Automatic Star Trek Warp Speed Limited Edition.
Following their first collaboration last summer, Nubeo is back with another Star Trek timepiece. The Magellan Automatic Star Trek Warp Speed Limited Edition takes inspiration from the iconic sci-fi series, thus incorporating the concept of warp travel into its design language.
In capturing the essence of high-speed space travel, the majority of the custom 3D-molded dial also pays homage to the iconic USS Enterprise, while the right side of the dial features the NCC-1701-D starship’s side profile. The attention to detail is extended to the reverse side as well, which features a blueprint-like design at the center of the caseback.
Similar to their first collaboration, the new model comes in a 48mm barrel-shaped case. It’s built with a water resistance of up to 5 ATM and is powered by a Japanese automatic movement. Inspired by the colors of Starfleet uniforms, the timekeeper is available in four color options spanning Riker Black, Data Yellow, Troi Blue and Picard Red, each paired with a matching rubber strap.
