Update: The second part of CNCPTS and New Balance’s champagne-inspired 740 pack releases this week and CNCPTS has shared a complete preview of what to expect from this “Brut” version of the shoe. As identified in our initial breakdown below, various greens adorn the sneaker while a rich orange accents the pair at the tongue. Its mesh and synthetic structure is backed by a cork sockliner and will land at the same $120 USD price point as its predecessor. The launch is taking place this Friday, January 10, via CNCPTS.

Original Story: Kicking off 2025, CNCPTS and New Balance continue their 740 collaboration with a new colorway reveal. The variant, dubbed “Brut,” borrows its name and inspiration from the French term that describes extra-dry Champagne — a fitting sequel to the previously released “Saignée” colorway.
The technical silhouette arrives in a palette comprised of varying shades of green. A dark metallic green dresses the mesh upper, while overs are doused in a shiny lime green. Meanwhile, the sockliner, eyestay, as well as laces, appear to come in a pale lime cream. The Orange tongue creates a bold contrast against the upper, while the ABZORB midsole completes the silhouette in an intense deep green.
