BAPE Sets Up Shop in New Jersey
Opening the doors to its American Dream flagship store.
BAPE is starting the year off strong, already boasting two in-line deliveries and, now, a new flagship storefront. With over 40 retail outposts operating around the world, BAPE can officially add one more location to the list: New Jersey.
Located inside American Dream Mall, the new BAPE outpost’s brick-and-mortar neighbors include over 400 stores and attractions – as well as an indoor theme park, water park and ski slope. The new outpost draws inspiration from the architectural style of Edo-period Japanese temples.
Though that’s not to say BAPE is ditching its signature statement camouflage print for the new opening; the store still bleeds camo, appearing alongside walnut wood finishes, shelves and hangers as well as ample Japanese greenery. Elsewhere, mantras “Made By The Ape” and “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” are etched onto wood columns.
“Our Japanese craftsmanship has always been our differentiation, and this store translates our DNA into a bespoke retail experience. This new design pushes boundaries and invites our community into an elevated expression of the brand that draws inspiration from the heritage and the future of BAPE,” explained BAPE’s CEO Mahmoud el Salahy.
