Dechambeau, Homa and All the Key Golf Sponsorship Changes in 2025

Reshuffling the status quo of tour sponsorships.

At the turn of the calendar year it’s customary for golf brands to announce new sponsorships for the upcoming season, and this year was no exception. While 2024 saw the departures from Nike for Tiger Woods and Jason Day to Sun Day Red and Malbon respectively, 2025 represents more reshuffling of the status quo as newcomers like lululemon look to gain a foothold and heritage brands such as Reebok seek to capitalize on golf’s continued growth among 20 and 30-somethings.

With that in mind, here are the major apparel signings as we dive into the 2025 golf season.

Bryson Dechambeau to Reebok

It’s been a while since Reebok has been relevant in the golf world. Think back to the 90s when a rosy-cheeked, mullet-wearing John Daly was shaking up the sport. So it feels rather full circle that the brand should announce its return to golf alongside a modern day people’s champion: big hitting Bryson Dechambeau. The 31-year-old offers a ton of value to Reebok not only because he’s a recent major champion, he’s also a content creation machine who’s capable of drawing visitors to his social media channels by the millions. In a unique partnership, Reebok is sponsoring both Dechambeau and his entire team of LIV Golf Crushers which includes Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri.

Matthieu Pavon to J.Lindeberg

Swedish sportswear and fashion brand J.Lindeberg was among the first to announce a major signing for 2025, revealing on December 19 that it had added French golfer Matthieu Pavon to the JL family. Since it’s inception J.Lindeberg has always had a strong foothold within the European continent which makes it a sensible move not only for the sportswear label but also for Pavon who joins a roster of JL golfers led by Viktor Hovland. At 32-years-old Pavon is in the best form of his life and will seek to consolidate his breakout 2024 season while donning the bridge logo.

Max Homa to lululemon

lululemon made its first big leap into golf at the beginning of last season when it penned fan favorite Min Woo Lee to a multi-year contract. And while Max Homa might not have the same sense of style compared to “the chef,” his relatability and self-deprecating sense of humor make him one of the most popular golfers among fans. Switching over from heritage brand FootJoy, the 34-year-old from Burbank, California is likely to get more marketing push while he vies to qualify for the 2025 Ryder Cup in New York.

Akshay Bhatia to TravisMathew

Free swinging Akshay Bhatia is one of golf’s most promising young talents, and in 2025 he makes the jump from Greyson Clothiers to TravisMathew joining an eclectic mix of ambassadors which includes NFL player-turned celebrity golfer Reggie Bush, Lakers guard Austin Reaves and Rams quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. With two PGA TOUR wins already under his belt at the age of 22, Bhatia looks to be a wise investment for the surf-inspired golf brand.
