As much as Nike looks forward with its design work, it also spends time reflecting on the past, resulting in timely bring backs of silhouettes. For the Nike Gato, it’s due to return to shelves in the wake of the Samba craze, offering a football, or in this case, futsal, oriented design that is sure to fit into any wardrobe with ease.
Teased initially during this year’s SNKRS Showcase stream, the Swoosh went on to share imagery of the Gato in “White/Gum” and has since followed up with previews of “Pine Green” and “Black/Gum.” Looking at the latter two, the “Pine Green” flavor sees a green suede upper joined by white Swooshes at each side of the shoe, matching the midsole that rests atop a gum sole. The “Black/Gum” iteration offers a similar look as it begins with black leather at the upper and sees white return to the Swooshes and midsole while a gum outsole completes the design.
At the time of writing, Nike has not disclosed when either of these upcoming colorways of the Gato will be releasing. Stay tuned for updates as the silhouette was announced to be returning by the end of the year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $110 USD.
