'Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom' to Release in Fall
The first ever feature-length anime in VR.
Bandai Namco Filmworks has shared a new promotional trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom, an upcoming anime featuring interactive virtual reality technology.
The film is co-produced with Atlas V, a French VR production specializing in crafting immersive VR and AR video games, experiences as well as installations. Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom will incorporate MR features, allowing and involving viewers in the events of the film.
The premise of the film takes place in U.C. 0096 within the Gundam universe, just three years after the final conflict between the Earth Federation and Neo Zeon. The story follows Argen Keil – an unofficial mercenary organization belonging to neither Zeon nor the Federation – on an assassination mission.
