During the men’s competition, held on August 1-4, Scottie Scheffler became the world’s first No. 1-ranked golfer to win an Olympic gold medal, following this year’s win at the Masters. Scheffler was joined by 2024 British Open winner Xander Schauffele, two-time major champion Collin Morikawa and 2023 U.S. Open winner Wyndham Clark.
