Release Date: Fall 2025
Where to Buy: Nike

Update: In an unexpected turn of events, the Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 “Chicago” has just been previewed. The pair was first rumored to be coming in 2025 back in August of last year, however, it was later clarified to be a new look with the same colors involved. Now that we have a glance at the pair, it is expected that it will indeed be dropping in the “Chicago” colorway after all. A similar situation occurred with the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” when its initial rumor was updated to a report of a new “Bloodline” pair instead, only for it to end up being the “Flu Game” look after all. While our initial glance is limited to a single image taken from afar, the typical red, white and black color blocking is present with the shape modifications of the Hi ‘85 — namely a smaller Wings logo, altered Swoosh shape and raised collar. Release details have not been confirmed just yet, but it was previously said to be dropping this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $250 USD. Stay tuned for updates, including a complete set of visuals, as Jordan Brand’s celebration of the Air Jordan 1’s 40th anniversary continues.

Update: Earlier today, we reported on a rumor that the Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 “Chicago” would be releasing again next year. Now, the source, EldenMonitors, has clarified that the color blocking is different than it was originally thought to be, though will sport the “White,” “Varsity Red” and “Black” color scheme. Stay tuned for a first look at this new colorway as it’s scheduled to drop during the second half of 2025.

Original Story: In case you have missed all of the many discussions about Jordan Brand’s plans for next year, the Jumpman team will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, and based on the rumors that have surfaced so far, it’s going to be a year to remember.

On top of expected drops like the Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined,” the OG Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 is due to continue its comeback in 2025. Earlier this year we saw the “Metallic Burgundy” look return and rumored pairs for next year include a “Reverse Shadow” look and the legendary “Bred” flavor. Adding to the list, EldenMonitors has shared a new report that indicates that the “Chicago” colorway will be dropping in its ‘85 form in 2025 too. The black, white and red color composition was last spotted in 2022 via the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lost & Found,” aka “Chicago Reimagined,” pair and is expected to sport the same traditional color blocking this time around too.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet announced any of its plans for 2025. Stay tuned for updates regarding the rumored return of the Air Jordan 1 High ‘85 “Chicago,” including a first look at the pair, as we currently expect it to drop during the fall of 2025 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a $250 USD price point.
